CLA – Evaluation and Selection of Key Leadership

Define/Clarify your org’s:
-Mission
-Culture (what is success and failure here as perceived by our people)
-Values
-Stakeholders
-Define your limits (budgets, reach, num people etc)
-Needs (branding, messaging, biz modle scalable and substainable)
-SWOT analysis (strength weakness opp and threat)

-How well do they understand your org (SWOT)
-What will you do in the first 90 days
-What about the first year etc

Need to get at Tribal knowledge (what people inside the org know)

“few people are successful without many others wanting them to be”. Relationships with others is key

Execution & strategy & vision in reverse order. Can they do this?

Ask leading questions

Can they bring people along. People development, leading the best of people

Dealing with change / adaptation

Self awareness and how it relateds to reality. Their story and the references’ story
